Our Heart is with the

The American Heart Association is an organization I personally have supported since losing my father to heart disease in 1990. At just 52 years old, Vincent Tiburzi’s life was cut short by our nation’s #1 killer. My father believed wholeheartedly in one man’s power to create change, and he demonstrated this in both his personal and public life. He served his country in the U.S. Army, and later, his community with dedication. He was our town councilman, a member of both the town and school board, and a volunteer firefighter. He was equally devoted to his entire family, especially his daughter. Losing my Dad prematurely raised my awareness of how critical funding is for continued medical research toward the prevention and treatment of heart disease.
